The muslims in their mutual love...

" When Allah loves a slave, calls out Jibreel and say : 'I love so-and-so; so love him'Then Jibreel loves him.After that he ( Jibreel )announces to the inhabitants of Heavens that Allah loves s-and-so; so love him; and the inhabitants of the Heavens ( the angels ) also love him and then make people on earth love him. "

{ Al -Bukhari and Muslim }

" Verily, God loves those who do good "
{ Al-Baqarah : 195 }

Let me tell you a story I once heard.

This incident took place during the Special olympics in Seattle.It was the 100 yard dash where 9 contestants took part.Some of them were physically challenged while others were mentally disabled.

As the sprinters lined up at the starting line, the starter prepared to fire the gun.On the usual ' on your mark, get set, go ! " together with the gun fire, all the contestants started running, not exactly in a dash but with smiles and clear enjoyment to run the race to the finish and win.

However, midway, one of the contestants accidentally stumbled on the asphalt.He fell and rolled over a couple of times, and began crying.

Then, something amazing happened.When all the other eight heard the fallen friend crying, they slowed down, turned around and went back to the crying boy.

One girl with Down's syndrome bent down and kissed the painful knee and said " This will make it better ".

Then, they helped the crying friend up, held hands and walked to the finishing line - together ! everyone in the stadium stood, and the cheering went on for several minutes.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I asked myself - have I ever stopped 'my race' when i heard someone crying behind me ? When I heard a cry, did I look back and help? or did i simply ignore them? Did i even know who was crying?

I am sorry to everyone around me whose cries I have ignored, whose painful knee I forgot to kiss and whom I left behind because I wanted to win the race alone

Rumi said once :

Love is the cure,
for your pain will keep giving birth to more pain,
until your eyes constantly exhale love as effortlessly as your body yields its scent.
